Will you always remember THAT Saturday night when it was confirmed by Boris Johnson there to be a Lockdown 2.0.

From Thursday, November 5th we entered 27 days of lockdown until Wednesday December 2nd.

We are still getting questions so we thought we would address them below –

Can I still view properties throughout Lockdown 2.0?

Yes you can still view properties. Most estate agents have asked that the sellers are out of the house when viewing. Masks etc. are to be warn at all times. Obviously a limited number of viewers from the family is advisable.

Can I still move home in Lockdown 2.0

Yes, you can. If your sale or purchase is in progress, please speak with us if you have any concerns so that we can put your mind at rest.

We understand you may be anxious within Lockdown 2.0 about how may affect the progression of your sale or purchase, and we will do everything we can to ensure it runs smoothly.

Guidance remains the same as was issued previously:

“We have changed how we work to reduce the risk from COVID-19…..We encourage all parties to be as flexible as possible and to be prepared to delay house moves, for example, if one of those involved tests positive with COVID-19 during the moving process or has to self-isolate due to contact.

Those renting a property, letting agents and landlords should be aware of and follow the Government guidance on coronavirus and renting which contains further advice that may also be applicable.

Initial viewings should be virtual wherever possible.”

Viewings should be arranged by appointment only. ‘Open house’ viewings should not take place.”

When viewing properties in person, you should avoid touching surfaces, regularly wash your hands and use hand sanitiser. Open all internal doors within your property before a viewing and ensure surfaces, such as door handles, are cleaned after each viewing. We recommend that owners vacate their property while viewings are taking place to minimise unnecessary contact.
